Kitchen and Table is a dinner series that invites you to dine in a group with strangers, traversing the wall that separates the heat of the kitchen from the pleasures of the dinner table. Kindly RSVP as there are a limited number of seats available. Tickets are available for purchase on a sliding scale through Eventbrite.
Around the hotpot (a form of table-top cooking common throughout Asia and the diaspora) we together upend predetermined ideas about labor, hierarchy, personal space and comfort that are often embedded into our habits around eating.
Join this collaboration with guests from all around the City of Chicago, including some of our amazing community partners committed to justice work in various neighborhoods.
If you are unable to attend but are interested in supporting the Justice Hotel’s mission, we invite you to purchase a ticket for someone else to attend who might otherwise find it cost-prohibitive.
This meal will have a vegan friendly option, and is inclusive of dinner, wine, beer, and dessert.
Please let us know of any food allergies when booking.
